WISHFUL THINKING! Wikipedia defines Wishful Thinking as “the formation of beliefs and making decisions according to what might be pleasing to imagine instead of by appealing to evidence, rationality, or reality.”
Suppose we have all the major developers (those who build condos and residences) unite and help build and rebuild Tacloban, wouldn’t that be a wonderful idea? Not allowing this city to be removed from the map….a showcase to the world how we as a people can help each other rise up through adversity and ruins? Now this is called wishful thinking. Wishful thinking indeed it is! But then again, character is not in the mind but in the will.

My wish for the people of Leyte is to stop thinking that they are “victims”, and to start thinking that they are now “survivors”. Leyte will rise, because there’s so much prayers and love overflowing not only evident in our country, but in the whole world.

This is so true and thank you for your reminder. You have changed my use of the terminology as well.
