True Friends Are Rare

Do you know who your true friends are? They are the same people who are not interested in your possessions, positions or accomplishments. They are interested in you (period). If you have such people, hold on to them. They are rare and they are precious. I may know thousands but true friends are only a handful.
Is this a valid observation?
