Mentoring

Good leaders make it a point to mentor people. This is a severe lack of many organizations. Aging leaders do not trust the younger ones. So they skip mentoring and hold on to their current positions gripping tightly, unwilling to let go. Leaders who fail to make room for the next generation often end up with little left to lead.
