Give and Gift

“GIVE and GIFT” are in the word: “forGIVEness.” When I decide to forgive someone who has wronged me, that is a gift that I give to that person. And when I have decided to move on without the person with no bitterness at all – though I may remember the offence and the betrayal of trust as a lesson learned…and now with no need to have anything to do with him or her, then that is a gift I am giving to myself.
