Express not Impress

April 13, 2013

I speak and I do training. One of the most important things I have learned is that people want to be appreciated, not impressed. They want to be regarded as human beings, not as mere sounding boards for other people’s egos. They want to be treated as ends in themselves, not as means towards the gratification of another’s vanity.
When speaking always be expressing truths and not impressing people.
