“There is no such thing as luck. There is only adequate or inadequate preparation to cope with a statistical universe,” says Robert A. Heinlein. When opportunities open up, the most prepared one can meet it, exploit it and explore more of it and in the eyes of many, this person is perceived as “lucky.” I would rather do work and prepare because pure luck alone is not a reliable strategy for success.
