Image Management?

In a crisis, many are tempted to protect the image. To spin it. To save face. But the first responsibility is not image protection. It is truth, ownership, and repair. This is true for leaders. It is just as true for parents, for teams, for friends, for anyone caught in a hard moment. Character is not managing how things look. It is managing what is real, then having the courage to make it right. Manage reality before you manage optics.
