In an age of scams and schemes, one of the clearest signs of manipulation is a false sense of urgency. When someone pressures you to decide immediately, they might be trying to control your response before you have time to think. The wisest move is to pause, verify the facts, and refuse to let another person’s urgency become your mistake. Say: “If you’re rushing me into a decision, you’ve already helped me make one.
