Life’s greatest sin is pride I guess. This is also one of the most difficult character flaw that I am struggling with. Well, this causes a lot of stress for me. It has also left to some of my relationships… and to think I should be one expert on this because I am a guidance counselor. Such is life!

This is so true. This has to be one of the hardest lessons in life–The lesson on HUMILITY. It is in itself hard to accept that we have become proud. It is sometimes hard to admit that we made a mistake, that we are wrong, and that we did or did NOT do something just because we are too proud.

Sometimes we think we’ve become too important just coz we’ve achieved great things or because we are well-accepted by many people or because we are loved inspite of the what or who we are. Sometimes our self-worth just soars up to the tip of Mt. Everest and we need a little poking back to the level ground.

Sometimes too, God’s Cure for pride, haughtiness, and egotism are the people who are humble and meek and situations that make us lose our self-worth for a little while. Only when God’s cure comes that can we see that His real purpose is to stir up gentleness in us and make us look away from our own goodness and importance so that we can see how truly good and important He is in our lives.
