Don’t get upset too easily. Taking offense at every word shuts down honesty and pushes people away from telling you the truth you may need to hear. Instead of snapping back with “Why are you so judgmental?” Pause. That response is a judgment in itself. Ask: Is there merit in what they said? Can I grow from this? Not every hard word is an attack.
